Saving one hamster at a time

Hamster Cage Reviews
An honest review on cages I have owned and used.
There are just my opinions and have no legal standing. I am not getting payed for my reviews and have purchased and used all of these cages. Please do with these reviews what you would like.
Kaytee CritterTrail
360 Degree Habitat
This cage is an ok starter home, but it should be replaced
Pros:
Compact
Comes with essentials
Good Viewing angles
Cons:
Only has 210 square inches
The wheel is barley large enough for a dwarf hamster and needs to be replaced with a larger wheel
The water bottle is leaky and is impossible to clean, eventually it may get musky, risking your hamsters health

Kaytee CritterTrail
2-Level Habitat
Great for someone with limited space but wants to maximize hamsters happiness
Pros:
Compact

Comes with travel container
Comes with a large wheel (need to use Crisco)
Has a second story for a food bowl or other accessories (increasing the open ground area)
Connectable to other Kaytee products (or cages from other companies if you get creative)
Cons:
Only has 230 square inches of ground area
Can be difficult to put together

Kaytee CritterTrail
Dazzle Turn-About Habitat
It is very loud and can become smelly easily
Pros:
Comes with essentials
Has lookout tower (Gandalf loved eating up here, looking out over the whole room)
Has a very large wheel
Connectable to other Kaytee products (or other cages if you get creative)
Cons:
Only has 230 square inches of ground area
The lookout tower is a pain to put on (and almost impossible to take off)
Tall
The large wheel is very noisy

PSA: Gandalf loved to live inside this wheel. So much so he would bring up food, pee and poop and even once brought some bedding into the wheel. This meant that the poop and food would make rattling noises whenever he ran (hamster are nocturnal so at night when you are trying to sleep). When he used the bathroom in the wheel it would get all over the plastic and him. With no bedding to soak up the smell, it became very smelly after the first night.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO WASH THE WHEEL EVERY DAY

Cons:

The large wheel does not spin correctly and stays in place with a plastic scraping noise

PSA: Jupiter loved to live inside this wheel. Like Gandalf. he would bring up food as well as pee and poop into the wheel. This meant that the poop and food would make rattling noises whenever he ran (remember hamster are nocturnal). After only the first day Jupiter was covered in his pee, and seeds had been thrown from the wheel all over the place.
